Rattles are very likeable toys that the children don’t easily let go of. Rattles generally make sound by a wood block with a slit being struck against another wood block. The vibrating wood planks near the slit produce a nice ringing sound.

Playing with the rattles is a good way to attain better motorskills such that the children’s hands move in rhythm in harmony with the rhythm of the sound.
